best busker yet. best dinner yet.
sooooo its wednesday night, been a pretty good work week.
lets talk TFL. i'm going to include my information-graphic chart that will be used to argue my point. its pretty good. so far, its working too. monday i went in to faraday and laid down the line in regards to my refund. they're working on it. looks like im going to need to mail some stuff to some people, but i will def be getting money back. which makes me happy as a lark! here's the calendar chart that i created for the event. no, not really, blogger (the website) is not allowing it right now. will try later.
monday in the tube i heard my fav busker yet. he was playing the kenny g style sax, but was playing contemporary songs. when i walked in he was playing 'the next episode' by dr. dre. it was so good, too. it just sounded great.
i have just been informed that the term 'geez' (like old geezer) means friend, or mate.
monday was a beautiful day, the weather i starting to turn, but mostly 50s, spotty rain, pretty windy at times. i'm still riding the bus more often to check out more of the city.
andrew is trying to sleep now so i'm going to type quietly and with care. the mac is a quiet typer tho, so i think we're all set.
tuesday was a busy day of classes, then i came home to do work, and then me and courtney went to the sports bar in piccadilly to try and watch the redsox home opener. unfortunately tho, they never got the game! so we kind of wasted an hour waiting for them to try and get it, but it was fun to go to a london sports bar... lots of football, some other weird sports like mountain biking got alot of play also. but the game wasnt on so we left, to do work. kind of a bust.
today was a presentation in class, it went well, so thats all i'll say about that. it was an advertising thing. pretty good.
then we went to the modernism exhibit at the victoria and albert museum!! terribly smashing! needed to go for a paper we have to write, so i was taking notes, but it was pretty sweet. lots of stuff about the bauhaus and destijl, which are a couple of favs of mine. all in all it was a great trip.
then-tonight was my night to cook, and because krista has a visitor, and its a jewish holiday, and some people still had class, i was only cooking for 4 tonight. bbq chicken, lemon rice (uncle bens) and carrots... soo good. people loved it too. and i bought a cake for a pound (pound cake pun intended)for dessert. it was a successful dinner!
me and courtney met michelle and her bro at waxy-o'connor's tonight, or just waxy's as we now call it. its such a cool place. a real london hang out. its the irish pub/bar. found out that part of it was built in an old church. but there's tons of little rooms to sit in, we got the upper room tonight that overlooked the tree again. it was a nice way of ending the week.
so michelle's family is in town for easter, but only her bro is staying here (not like it matters because everyone else will be gone). and krista has a friend in for the week from long island. andrews bro, adam, who was the best guest that i hadn't previously known yet, left tuesday, so we're sitting at 10 people right now.... makes me SO EXCITED to live on my own next year!!! i'm going to love it i can already tell. i'm excited to decorate my own space, actually.. i have some interesting ideas. anyways - michelle's bro, david, is pretty cool. he's going into art, he's a senior in h.s. krista's friend's name is dani, and they're both classsic long islanders, put them together and its one fun ball of somethin. catch the sarcasm - annoying, obnoxious, self-centered, tactless, air headed. they don't care about anyone else and they have no clue about the value of money, and they just annoy me. don't tell anyone. i miss syracuse folk. mr. allen. greg. villani. family. the cage. no accents. ahhh anyways.
headed to bed, to do work tomorrow, then friday leaving for dublin!!! mega excited about that, should be a great easter! not alot of work to do, so it'll be relaxing and fun.
